ABOUT

“My musical canvas is an evolving landscape of overlapping sounds, where each shade represents an element of folk, rock, jazz, blues, and roots, each texture a lyric brought to light from a life fully lived, and the piano as the medium with which I confess a journey that is uniquely my own.” - Tyler Mast

At its core, Pegasus is about family and our shared humanity. Many of the ten tracks on Tyler's newest record are odes to family members, and the rest are life lessons told cleverly through song. Wit, courage, and sometimes humor are embedded in the lyrics, while grace and groove guide its soulful instrumentation.

Recorded, mixed, and produced exclusively at Tyler's studio in Vermont, Pegasus is his only record to date where full control rested entirely in the hands of its creator. The result is an honest reflection of Tyler's songwriting and keyboard brilliance. Featuring Bob Wagner (Mike Gordon Band) on acoustic and electric guitars, Josh Weinstein (Kat Wright Trio) on bass, and Caleb Bronz (Ray Vega Quartet) on drums, Pegasus is scheduled for release during summer of 2026, with singles dropping throughout the spring.
